Come join us in creating a Monadnock Equestrian Team to compete in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association.

The Interscholastic Equestrian Association is a nationally recognized organization with Junior and High school students competing during the scholastic year initially in their respective zone and then qualifying for the national finals. Previous finals have been run in Colorado, Massachusetts, and Ohio.

Participants are not required to have their own horses or tack - coaching for the shows will be done on the lessons horses provided by Far Well Farm and the horses used for the shows are provided by the hosting farm. This allows students that do not have a horse and the required equipment to participate and also makes competition fair in that everyone rides a horse that they are not familiar with and are judge on the riders ability, not the horse.

To prepare the riders for the start of the IEA show series in August, we will be holding two training sessions. The initial session will be started the third week of May and end the second week of July. A second session will run from mid July through mid September. These two sessions of training will involve 2 lessons a week in groups of 3 students per lesson. We will also host small schooling shows at Far Well Farm to prepare the students in a show atmosphere and get used to the show nervousness. During these sessions, students will also be involved in raising money for the team to fund the cost of the shows and rider equipment, team jackets, and other items the team needs. Students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in both sessions to be fully prepared for the fall and winter shows. Student enrollment will be somewhat limited so early registration is encouraged. The cost of each session is $320, this is discounted by $160 from normal lesson fees.
